Chef Belia and Michelle Martinez have over thirty years of catering, sales, hospitality and operations experience combined. Having been an event planner on Maui for eleven years, Michelle has created events to remember for wedding couples, incentive groups, corporate clients and local clientele. Chef Belia brings inventive cuisine coupled with island favorites to our clients and her culinary training allows her to design and create versatile menus to capture the host’s vision and ensure unforgettable cuisine.
Chef Belia Paul was inspired by her grandmother at an early age with her ingenious cooking. At age 24, she made a life goal to be an integral part of the food and beverage industry. She started her career in the administrative level, gaining knowledge of sanitation, inventories and customer service. At age 27 she moved to Maui to attend the University of Hawaii, Maui Culinary Arts Program where she joined the American Culinary Federation. She competed throughout college winning bronze, silver and gold medals. During this time, Chef Belia was also volunteering for various fund-raising food events which fast tracked her to professional connections that helped her build relationships with other Chef’s from around the world. After graduating with top honors, she traveled for 3 years to further her knowledge in all types of cuisine by attending culinary school in Tlaxcala, Mexico, diving for conch in the Caribbean, cleaning mussels in New Zealand, harvesting grapes in the Barossa Valley-Australia and perfecting béarnaise sauce from a seasoned French Chef.
